Ron Paul has announced that he's running for President just a few days ago, and I give him a lot of credit for bringing up some very important issues and giving them the publicity that no one else does. One excellent example is the Federal Reserve, an institution that very few people knew anything about before Ron Paul's 2008 presidential campaign.

But how many people know about the Federal Reserve now? Certainly more than four years ago, but still a minority of the American public. And how many people have to know about the Federal Reserve and dislike its policies before it actually goes away, or even has its authority curbed?

Let's examine that. How many people know of the TSA? Virtually everyone. Not only is everyone aware of the TSA, but most people despise the TSA. And still the TSA not only continues to exist but has even grabbed more and more power since its inception. The TSA is nowhere near being eliminated, or even having its authority curbed.

So while Ron Paul brings Federal Reserve issues to the forefront, is it really going to have any impact on that organizations control over our lives? Unfortunately, it seems not.
