April 10, 2010

This is a repeat of the episode that originally aired on April 3, 2010.

Tucson has struck down a proposal for a sales tax on food; good for them.

We play a clip from a Ron Paul announcement discussing the Census, and provide our own two cents.

Finally, we had interviewed Jan Narveson, former professor at the University of Waterloo in Canada, back in January at the ISIL conference.  We played that interview and discussed the points that Profession Narveson brought up.

To begin, we opened the show discussing the new health care legislation.  If insurance companies must not discriminate against pre-existing conditions, what is the ultimate result of that policy?

Next, we jumped into the FCC's Equal Time and (now defunct) Fairness Doctrine provisions.

Finally, we covered the credit card legislation that passed a few months ago and discussed the implications of the (well-intended?) changes.

March 20, 2010

On this week's episode, we discussed the cause of the difference in success between a rich person and a poor person.

March 13, 2010

Tonight's guests were William Thomas of The Atlas Society and Nick Coons (on assignment) from The Libertarian Solution.  The topic of discussion was minarchy and anarchy.  What do the terms mean, and which of them is a better system for society?
