Joining us on the program this week was John Cole from Unimodal to discuss their revolutionary mass transportation product SkyTran.  SkyTran is faster than individual vehicles, can transport more people than busses, subways and light rail, is super energy efficient, is far cheaper to build than traditional roads, and is safe.  So why isn't it being installed everywhere as we speak?

Lynn Weaver joined us to discuss Prop 13 Arizona, the initiative pending for this year's ballot in Arizona in order to control property tax costs.  Think your property devaluation is going to cause you property taxes to decrease?  Think again, Arizonans!

Is self-governance really possible.  Nick's anecdote, while anecdotal, is somewhat telling.

Ed Vallejo and Bob Schulz from the We The People Foundation join us for the remainder of the show to discuss the Continental Congress 2009, and the recent work they created over an 11-day period.  You can read their finished product, the Articles of Freedom, online.

February 20, 2010

Lex Green, Libertarian candidate for governor in Illinois, joins us to discuss his state's issues, views on state sovereignty, and health care.

Rick Biondi, Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona against John McCain, discusses his views on international affairs on the economy.

And finally, Nick is accused this week via email from a member of the Green Party as being naive and a sucker for junk food.  Check out his responses as Jim plays devil's advocate.

Obama wants to keep spending and revenue "in sync" with his "Paygo" system, but this only applies to "mandatory" spending.  No spending is mandatory, as Congress can set the rules however they want.

Alex Snitker, 2010 US Senate Libertarian candidate in Florida, joins us to talk about his campaign, and his key issue; the FairTax.

We press forward talking about the updates in the fight to knock out the sales tax on food in the City of Phoenix, and discuss the mentality of parasites on the government system.

The program began with discussing the fallacy of taxing the wealthy.  We then discussed an economics professor who implemented a socialist grading system in his class to demonstrate how socialism fails.  Next, we presented the ideas of an Arizona legislator who wants to require businesses to sign an "ethical" statement of business in order to operate.

Finally, we focused on the new Phoenix sales tax on food, with our motto "Eat free or die!"
