November 19, 2008

Jim and the MCLP are suing County Elections for not following the law during the election process, and we received an update on the case.  Byron Schlomach from the Goldwater Institute joined us to describe the state budget deficit, the causes, and the potential fixes.  Joe Cobb, a professional economist who worked for Congressman Ron Paul in the 80s, joined us in the studio to provide a very entertaining description of the similarities between the economic conditions of today and the 1930s, and introduced the "do something" mentality.

November 12, 2008

Sean Haugh, the National Libertarian Party's political director, joined us to discuss the LP's strategy when nominating Bob Barr as their candidate, and gave us some information on becoming politically active to advance the causes of freedom.  Following him was Jim March, who was on the show several weeks ago, to discuss some of the security-flawed practices (some of which he describes as stupid, and others are outright illegal) used in transporting, tallying, and otherwise handling ballots.  We touched on how health care became such a problematic industry with government regulation, and finished up by encouraging people to engage others in philosophical discussion.

Wasn't there something important that happened yesterday?  Oh yeah, the election.  We began with a quick recap of how we had the "opportunity" to make the choice between heads and tails of the same coin.  From there, it was time to analyze what we knew of Obama's plans (he's never been very clear, so we filled in the blanks as best as we could) discussing energy and economic policy, and wrapped up with some libertarian solutions to these issues.

October 29, 2008

Jim started us out with a brief history of central banking prior to the Federal Reserve and how it impacted the Civil War.  In the following segments, we dissected the propositions on the Arizona ballot this November and provided the pro-freedom perspectives.  We also interviewed Celeste Castorena, the Green Party candidate for the State House in LD12.

October 22, 2008

Nick had an update to his City of Mesa debacle, and we briefly touched on jobs being exported and who really owns those jobs.  In the following two segments we interviewed our guest, Jim March, a voting integrity specialist.  We wrapped up the show discussing the concept of extremism, tying in to Libertarians in office.
